Jenny Tyler

I qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1990 and worked at FASIC sports medicine clinic for over 26 years until my retirement in August 2024. Exercise has always played a huge role in my work and in 2003 I trained with Body Control Pilates and starting teaching mat classes. Since then I have integrated Pilates into my role as a physiotherapist and have worked with a variety of sports including golf, cricket, swimming, running, football, rugby, hockey and athletics.

I teach several mat and small equipment classes per week and run workshops for sports groups, movement workers and Pilates colleagues.

I also work for Body Control Pilates and was involved in teacher training and hosted courses in Edinburgh. I now teach 2 sport specific courses to Pilates teachers, Pilates for Golfers and Pilates for Swimmers.

I strongly believe that exercise is a key component of a healthy lifestyle and Pilates balances the physical and mental aspects of this.
