Jenny Tyler

I qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1990 and have been working at FASIC sports medicine clinic since 1997. Exercise has always played a huge role in my work and in 2003 I trained with Body Control Pilates and starting teaching mat classes. Since then I strive to integrate Pilates into my role as a sports physiotherapist and have worked with a variety of sports including golf, cricket, swimming, running, football, rugby, hockey and athletics. I am also fully trained on reformer, cadillac, tower and chair and incorporate the equipment into regular sessions with performance athletes to enhance their movement awareness.

I teach live and Zoom classes each week on a self employed basis.

I also work for Body Control Pilates as a teacher trainer and mentor for all Scottish based students and teachers. In 2015 I created their Pilates for Golfers course which allows Pilates teachers to gain an understanding of the movement demands of golf and teaches golf specific exercises.

I strongly believe that exercise is a key component of a healthy lifestyle and Pilates balances the physical and mental aspects of this.
